Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to the Mavu Studio website and your purchase and use of our BIM shell models, design intent models and related services ("Products"). By using our website or purchasing a Product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or purchase from us.
1. About us
Mavu Studio ("we", "us", "our") is a BIM consulting studio offering ready-made and custom BIM shell models, design intent models, 3D visualizations and design services. You can reach us at mavumium@gmail.com.
2. Orders, payment and Merchant of Record
Our order process and payments are conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, who is the Merchant of Record for all purchases. Paddle handles the transaction, billing, applicable taxes and receipts, and will appear on your statement. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.
All prices are shown at checkout and may be subject to taxes calculated by Paddle based on your location. We reserve the right to change prices and Product offerings at any time. Your order is confirmed once payment is successfully processed and you receive an order confirmation.
3. Delivery of digital products
Products are digital and delivered electronically — typically via a download link or email — after payment is confirmed. It is your responsibility to provide a correct email address and to download your files promptly. If you do not receive your Product, contact us and we will resolve it.
4. License to use the plans
Unless a different license is expressly agreed in writing, when you purchase a Product we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the plans for the purpose of designing and constructing one (1) building for your own use, at a single site.
You may:
- Use the plans to obtain quotes and build one structure;
- Make copies as reasonably necessary for construction, permitting and approval of that structure;
- Engage a licensed professional to adapt the plans for your site (see Section 6).
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, redistribute, share or publish the plans or files, in whole or in part;
- Use the plans to construct more than one building without purchasing an additional or multi-use license;
- Claim authorship of the designs or remove any Mavu Studio markings; or
- Use the plans in any unlawful manner.
5. Intellectual property
All Products, designs, drawings, renders, text, images and other content on this website are the intellectual property of Mavu Studio (or our licensors) and are protected by copyright and other laws. Purchasing a Product grants you the license described in Section 4 only; it does not transfer ownership of the underlying design or copyright to you.
6. Professional review, building codes and disclaimer
Important — please read. Our plans are provided as design documents for general use. They are not a substitute for site-specific engineering, and they may need to be reviewed, adapted, engineered and/or stamped by a professional who is licensed in your jurisdiction before they can be used for construction or permit approval.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any plans you purchase comply with all applicable local building codes, zoning laws, regulations, soil and site conditions, and permitting requirements in your location. Mavu Studio does not warrant that any plan will be approved by your local authority without modification.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The website and Products are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mavu Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of construction, contractors, cost overruns, delays, structural issues, or failure to obtain approvals, arising from the use of our Products. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to a Product shall not exceed the amount you paid for that Product.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mavu Studio from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses arising out of your use of the Products, your construction project, or your breach of these Terms.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the website, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, transmitting harmful code, scraping content, or using the site or Products for any unlawful or infringing purpose.
11. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
12. Privacy
Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the applicable state in which Mavu Studio operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located there, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest revision. Your continued use of the site or purchase of Products after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
